Coconut Cabanas was built in 2006. The "Mauna Kea Cabana" is the only cabana currently available so we offer our guests the ultimate in privacy.

Why pay outrageous lodging prices to visit the Big Island of Hawaii! Stay in the Mountain View area where the nights are cool and the mornings are filled with beautiful sunrises! This area has large gentlemen ranch estates full of activities, including zip lines, ATV adventures, and very affordable lodging!

The Mountain View area on the Big Island of Hawaii is not well know to visitors but has some of the most affordable lodging on the Eastern Side of Hawaii. The area is located on the slopes of Mauna Loa at the 1400’ elevation. There is a small Mountain View Village which hosts a one-of-a-kind bakery, a food pantry, a gas station and a video rental complex. Most of the surrounding area is ranchland with large parcels of land. The area is very quiet and has a number of activities, including horse back riding, ATV and Zip Line recreation. The evenings are cool, dipping into the upper 50’s on occasion, and makes for great sleeping at night.

The Mauna Kea cabana is a lovely 800 sq. ft. cabana with vaulted ceilings, beautiful bamboo floors and lovely ceramic tile in the beautiful bathroom. Large windows and sliding doors give a light and airy feeling bringing the outdoors in.

 

 The Mauna Kea Cabana has both spectacular ocean and mountain views.  A large green lawn a few steps past the front door affords you a speculator 360 degree view of the rolling country hillsides filled with abundant wildlife.

Rates

 

The Mauna Kea Cabana is flat rate of $69.00 per night based on double occupancy with a $30 cleaning/tax fee.

 

A deposit is required upon confirmation of reservation.

Check in time is 2 p.m.

Checkout time is 12 noon

Please contact us if you  require and earlier or later check-in time.

 

 

Cancellations:

 

 Full refund of deposit 2 weeks prior to confirmed book. Deposit is non-refundable 12 days or less from scheduled arrival unless the accommodation is re-booked.

 

Early departure- if early departure is necessary earlier than confirmed departure date you will be responsible for full amount of booking unless we re-book
